Ferguson Finishes Fifth in Season Opener

PICTON – PICTON (May 5, 2015) – Dan Ferguson wheeled his No.11 Canadian Modified to a fifth-place finish in the season opening feature at Brighton Speedway on Saturday May 2.

Ferguson started the 25-lap A-Main from the third spot after finishing second in his qualifying heat. Drivers started the feature “heads up” instead of the usual handicapping process on the first night.

“The car was really good in hot laps, not so good in the qualifier, then it was really good in the feature,” Ferguson said.

The No.11 machine quickly moved to second behind polesitter Andrew Hennessy. Ferguson tried the top groove of the racetrack for several laps, but couldn’t gain enough to make a pass for the lead.
