Ferguson Battles Through May; Reloads for Busy June

PICTON (June 4, 2015) The first month of the Canadian Modified season at Brighton Speedway has placed driver Dan Ferguson third in the championship standings. The Picton, Ont.-based driver has battled adversity, but his Kilmarnock Enterprise/Mark Heating and Cooling No.11 remains just 30 points out of the championship lead. 

In three starts this season, Ferguson finished third, fifth, and sixth. The fourth race of the month, scheduled for May 30, was rained out. On each occasion, Ferguson has had to overcome a variety of issues. 

On opening night, contact damaged the right front wheel and control arm of the car. To start the second race of the year, Ferguson rocketed from sixth to second on the opening lap, but was a little eager exiting turn four and spun. Then on May 23, the No.11 was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time and swallowed in to an accident with leader Mark Busscher on the first lap, but rebounded to finish fifth. (READ FULL STORY
